An au pair is a young adult from another country who lives with a host family and
provides in-home childcare for up to 45 hours per week. Au pairs also assist with light
housekeeping and other duties associated with childcare such as: doing children's laundry,
driving children to school and extracurricular activities, preparing children's meals,
and supervising homework. The weekly cost averages about $340 or $7.50 an hour.
AuPairCare is offering PTA families a waived application fee and an additional $300
